Let's just put a crease in the bed sheetmetal, scrunch up the fascia a bit, and voilĂ , it's Japanese.

#1, Let's take a Ranger and put a Mazda bed on it and voila, it's sporty! I wonder if that's where the later Ranger STX came from, when Mazda stopped building the US Ranger-based B-Series and needed to use up the Mazda beds. Or something like that.

#3, Huh... never noticed that that trim level had the Mazda bed. Looking at photos, they used the Mazda taillights, as well.

#5, yup. And later Rangers used Mazda-spec wheels too.

#6, Well, I guess it's not too strange... hell, they produced a special edition Commodore that used up the rest of the unused Pontiac G8 sheetmetal in Australia... got so popular they actually ended up making new G8 sheetmetal to meet demand...

#7, yup. I remember those. I wonder if GM produced Holden sheetmetal for sale in Pontiac dealers for US consumers who wanted to do the conversion?
