Travis Kvapil's #44 was stolen from a hotel parking lot over the weekend in Atlanta. Police have since recovered it and the truck, but the trailer is still missing. Bad weather delayed the official team "hauler" and it was instead being transported via flatbed. a Saturday press release says they have a "person of interest" in the case. I'm thinking more of "a dumb redneck of interest who just traded the next 10 years of his life behind bars for a day of getting to live his greatest fantasy" Unfortunately, the theft meant Kvapil missed car inspection and had to withdraw from the race.

#1, Most likely it was a dumb piece of trash (race irrelevant) who saw a big, white utility trailer and stole it, not knowing what was inside it. The moment they must have looked in and realized it was a bespoke, unique race car that would impossible to fence, they dumped that, and kept the rest of the stuff that could be hocked on the black market.
