If nothing else, this should give you a little better idea what my wheels actually look like... |

Way too low, but at least the wheels are straight. |

Nope, that was done intentionally. Dude hooked up a solenoid to the air-ride suspension so he could control the ride height. This is probably max-low. I'm thinking of dropping mine a bit, but nothing like this, just an inch or so. |

Or a fat person in the back seat. But it's difficult to tell-if you look at the bumpers they're about the same height. I think what we're seeing is a dramatic body line made moreso by the lowering. |

So, what's the verdict on Torq-Thrusts? |

A definite possibility, but I'm not too sure about the bolt pattern and offset. That'll take some looking into. Plus, new wheels are expensive and I sorta like the ones I have (this is a MUCH better representation of them than the pic of my car) so that'll be in the "eventually" file. |

T-T2s and Cragar SSs are the ultimate hot rod wheels. VW Bug to '49 Merc, they work on EVERYTHING. EVERYTHING, DO YOU HEAR?! EVERYTHING!!!!! Sorry. |

Myself, I'd stick with full stock appearance (except maybe some minor lowering) and put the money under the hood. A chip's a good start, but that IS basically a Cobra motor... |

Yeah, I'm keeping the exterior stock, maybe dropping it an inch or so (but gotta keep it SORTA high; it automatically slams itself an inch at 55 mph to improve your aerodynamics.) I'm chipping it (that's really the difference between the Mark VIII and the Cobra engines, the chip,) drilling out the airbox, and then we'll see where we go from there. My guess is that should put me up around 330-340 horsepower. That's based upon the fact that I don't really buy the factory rating on the Mark VIII engine. It's really closer to 300 than 290. The chip is supposed to be a legit 25-30 horsepower, and the airbox should get me 5 or so. |

MN12! These & The 89-97 T-Birds & Cougars all shared the same basic frame. Not so much for the Lincoln, but on the Cougars & T-Birds about 3/4 of the parts where interchangeable. |

When these are lowered, intentionally or not, it just does not equate to looking good. it just looks like another lincoln that's been neglected. if anything, lowering the car should be a marginal drop, not right to the bottom so it looks like its garbage :P |
