One thing I'm wondering now... from the get-go, was the K-car platform intended to be modular, that they planned on stretching it in the future?

#1, Technically, this was an E-chassis car, a "stretched" K to add a little more space. The idea was to come up with a counter to the A body cars over at GM, while at the same time, being able to ween themselves off the M-body chassis. I still lump them in with the "K"s because they both ended their run at the same time.

#3, I know this is a stretched K-car... that's what brought the notion to mind... did they have visions of a stretched K-car like the E-chassis when they were first developing the Aries/Reliant?

There was a Dodge version of this, too, right? Dodge.. 600? I think? I like the front on the later cars. Looks sporty. Dumb opinion, I know.

#5, No, I agree with you. Aesthetically, ChryCo was quite successful with styling their K-car derivatives...

#4, I kinda doubt it.. seeing as the successor Acclaim/Spirit were even tinier...... but who knows, this was an odd time for carmakers in general.

#5, 600, 800, it was some number-derivative model, it was only given the Plymouth name for Canada's sake since Dodge wasn't sold there.

#6, For whatever reason lately, I've been getting interested in 1977-1995ish cars a lot more, and I have taken a liking to these. I like these, the New Yorker Turbo, and the Dynasty a lot for some reason, ditto the 1991-1995 minivans in Grand form. The short wheelbases look funny.
