You know, in their last gasps before the end of the Oughts, Pontiac really had a very interesting lineup... in spite of their moronic dealers' lobbying efforts...

I've always said Pontiac was my favorite of the GM brands. I loved the Grand Am when I was younger, loved the Sunbird, and I was in the minority regarding the Aztek. Aside from the G3, I don't think Pontiac had a truly "Bad" vehicle in their latest lineup.

#2, The G3 was the endgame of the previously mentioned "moronic dealers' lobbying efforts"... it kinda showed GM that, no matter what they tried, the dealers would always want Pontiac to be a "kidney-grilled Chevy", because the dealers were too lazy and stupid to market performance vehicles.

#3, I wonder if these are the same dealers who assumed Pontiac was supposed to compete with Mercury? :/

#4, Like I said, too stupid and lazy... "Welp, we've got them thar Buicks for elderly people, so we can steal their 401Ks with undercoat and maintenance plans... we've got them thar GMCs that we can overprice and sell to insecure assholes, but these Pontiacs? What th'hell are these? They kinda look like modified Chevys, so we'll sell them as such! ...but lookie over yonder at that Murcury lot... those look like modified Fords... let's copy their marketing strategies!"

:( Shame, really. I liked our Vibe, despite being cheap as fuck inside. Ditto goes for both W-Bodies I had as well. The styling was sporty, and even near 25 years on, I still like the first-generation W-Prix. So, why not sell them as sporty alternatives to the Sable/whatever the comparable Mercury was?

Although, I have no idea if the Sable was supposed to me more luxurious then a Taurus. Was it?
