As much as I like tiny cars, the cute-ute CUV trend is going down a very bad path. What used to be bespoke tiny car-based SUVs is now full of hatchbacks on stilts that car companies charge a $10k premium on.

#1, Theres no fixed price range for subcompact cars - so it's unreasonable to come into the segment thinking none of them can cross $30K as if it were some price barrier. If Mercedes can get away a $50K subcompact - they've proven that they can command those kinds of prices.

No word on if the GLA45 AMG is worth a damn though.
