#5, Not if I get to him first, nothing like turning the mere act of driving somewhere into a political statement, it's the left-wing version of the guy with a million DONT TREAD ON MUH RIGHTZ!!! stickers on an Ram 900000000 that's never hauled anything heavier than a 24 pack, put em' in the same room, and it's mutual annihilation.

#11, I also have my doubts on whether the CyberTruk and new roadster are coming out. My brother-in-law seems to think the probably of either is very low, given Musk's recent antics, what with twitter and all that.

#13, Whether or not he owes Twitter really depends on the results of the independent audit he conducted. If Twitter grossly misrepresented the number of users they have, as he claims, they're in pretty deep shit.

#14, Had he bought twitter only to promptly shut it down as a containment means - I would've actually smile for the first time in decades.
But his automotive activities have soured my impression of him and the brand. I was deeply skeptical of the Roadster as it didn't have anything remarkable or earth shattering outside of its powertrain that made it stand out when challenged by other roadsters.
Over time - I softened up. The S grew on me. I watched the Semi unveiling with excitement - as I felt that it was more important than the new Roadster. I even spoke with an owner in a parking lot when I first saw one in the flesh - although I probably came off as excitable and perhaps 'challenged' and overwhelmed by a car that other more brain-dead people could have mistaken as the return of Christ. Suddenly - American cars were cool again and didnt' come with any baggage.
Today, I'm mildly haunted by the build quality photos I've seen of the 3 and the Y; images that live rent-free in my head and are distressing and unbecoming of brand purported to be on the cutting edge of the cutting edge. The Cybertruck is already late; and not even fashionably so. The new Roadster itself had spent those years in limbo - and as it sat there I got the distinct feeling that I've already seen this kind of development proceedure before. The Roadster - and perhaps every forthcoming Tesla - is being developed in the exact same way pre-2008 GM used to develop theri cars: engineering by press release. A perpetual and forever gratifing public mastirbatory exercise where one can endlessly promise what will become of the final product. Just keep printing more press releases whenever your competition does something that haven't do - promise that the final product will have that same feature and it'll be better in every way - and wank to convince yourself you're right.
