Most of the time, being given "snowplow" duty kills a truck, sometimes though, it just makes it STRONGER. |

Oh, and as you can see in the background, they're tearing down my old High School. Why'd they pay a contractor to do it, I have no idea..... couldn't they just invite all the living alumni to come on down and BYOCB, (Bring Your Own Crowbar) and have it done for free?!

#2, That must've been the new and next-generation thing in the 70's my middle school dates from that era (or did until it was demolished in the mid oughties) and was the same thing, central office/gym, outlying "Pods" with roller-curtain walls, brick, concrete and glass.... a socialists architectural masterpiece, comrade! It closed not due to it falling apart, but because the population center had moved and it was in the middle of a old-folks and college-grad-students neighborhood with 45 minute bus rides to get to where the kids actually lived. The High School was just as old, but was "box with windows" no frills, it's being torn down, but on paper it's a "renovation" because the tax payers refused a new building, so the school board said "Okay, we'll just renovate (cough, cough,) 99% of it then...." It's a multi million dollar vanity project to keep "current" in the face of PSU, nothing else.
