So, apparently, since I just bought this car within the past week, hence the registration was changed... it's still in a "pending" status, so I can't make any other modifications for the time being. The change in vanity plate will have to wait.
I just realized... this is the little black Figaro that I wanted... retro, small, 2CV-style roll-back convertible top... and I imagine a brand new Fiat can't be any less reliable than a 25-year-old Nissan. At least this sucker comes with a warranty and available parts :D
#46, Lies. Only one. Got me a free Slurpee on Monday.
#45, I was worried that I wouldn't be able to replace the Demio with a vehicle with a similarly enjoyable chassis. But this? It's a fantastic chassis, and, due to the nature of the roll-back roof, being a "convertible" doesn't compromise the rigidity. ...the interior doesn't feel quite as solidly-constructed as the Mazda, but close enough... and by God is it stylish. I have a tiny, cheap little econobox that isn't soulless. That makes me very happy. It has even more soul than the Demio did.
#49, Motherfucker... some asshole in a white Mini with a "NERD" plate is running all kinds of tolls in South Florida, and I'm getting the bills... he's got an FSU plate, which, admittedly from a distance, looks similar to my Shuttle plate.
But, still, black Fiat vs. white Mini... you'd think they'd be able to tell the difference.
#54, Hell yes. I've also made the decision to change my vanity plate... to be honest, "NER0" was a decision that was influenced more by others than myself... I'm getting a weeaboo plate that *I* want now, and I doubt it could be mistaken for something else.
#55, Alright, I've formally submitted the dispute paperwork, with ample backup evidence/attachments... ball's in their court now. Let's see what they do with it.
#56, Well, they finally determined I wasn't liable for the toll-running (Uh, duh.)... and it appears my exuberance with vanity plates has spread to my brother-in-law, who has a BMW M2 on order...
