I used to see one nearly identical to this around here quite a bit, but it was an earlier 1976-1977 and a slightly lighter blue. Same wheels, same ride height, same roll bar and cab lights, and even the same side exhaust exit. Kinda freaky how similar they are, come to think of it.

Hey McFly! Nice set of wheels, let's see what she can do... let's greenlight! (Yes, I know Needles'/Flea's truck was red)

#2, Any time I see a late 70's domestic truck w/ rollbar and lights, all I can think of is the climactic chase from the original Terminator.

#3, My mom is adamant that the first Terminator film is one of the best cinematic love stories ever. Doesn't hurt that she was infatuated with Michael Biehn at the time...

#4, If you want to know why I think the modern Terminator films blow, just go back and watch that one, the infatuation with jaw-dropping VFX means the newer the film, the less elemental menace from the crushing atmosphere of THIS THING WILL NOT STOP the original had..... and the use of practical stunt work and good miniatures only when absolutely needed didn't hurt.

#5, Jurassic Park holds up so well, even today. Why? CGI was so expensive and time-consuming, they utilized it as little possible, and used practical effects and puppetry everywhere they could.

It's the Jaws effect, if movie magic is limited in scope, it forces creativity with editing, pacing, other effects, and general ambiance.
