I used to see one nearly identical to this around here quite a bit, but it was an earlier 1976-1977 and a slightly lighter blue. Same wheels, same ride height, same roll bar and cab lights, and even the same side exhaust exit. Kinda freaky how similar they are, come to think of it. |

#2, Any time I see a late 70's domestic truck w/ rollbar and lights, all I can think of is the climactic chase from the original Terminator. |

#4, If you want to know why I think the modern Terminator films blow, just go back and watch that one, the infatuation with jaw-dropping VFX means the newer the film, the less elemental menace from the crushing atmosphere of THIS THING WILL NOT STOP the original had..... and the use of practical stunt work and good miniatures only when absolutely needed didn't hurt. |
