Looks like a 1 ton stake from 1953. If the engine is still in situ, it's probably a 248 or 270 Jimmy Six. Desirable, either way.
It's solid enough that I hope the whole truck is restored, rather than the engine sold to a nostalgia hot-rodder and the truck repowered with an LS1, slammed, and sold on eBay as a "rat rod with patina."
