Description:
Presenting, the ZB-generation 2019 Holden Commodore.

As nice of a car as the Opel Insignia/Buick Regal is, it's kinda an insult to wear the Commodore badge.

...oh, and it only gets worse across at Ford... the Falcon-based Territory SUV? It'll be replaced by the "Endura"... a rebadged Ford Edge.

Nissan only sells SUVs and utes down under. Oh, and the GTR, and I think the Z34 still.

#2, They're just getting a head start on the rest of the world's automotive trends. The sedan is dead. The wagon is even deader. It'll all be crossovers, trucks, and [expensive] pure sports cars... hell, even "sporty" coupes are probably gonna die off, too.

The hatchback may survive... that's the only saving grace.

#3, The hatchback survives as a crossover - of which some are not completely comatose.

#5, Taller suspension, plastic fenders, and $5k-$10k tacked onto the price. Ugh.

However, I'm in no position to denigrate, as I own a "lifted hatchback" crossover.

#6, Taller suspensions as a provision of accessibility; the sedan and hatch versions weren't as comfortable as their crossover spawn and getting in and out of them was difficult. The plastic trim can be masked into near-invisibility with either black or dark colours. And I have no problem with an increased cost if what I'm getting is markedly better than competing models - and that cost usually feature something that can shake off that comatose image.
