#1, Probably did, our bodyshop once tried to order a salvage cab for a then brand-new Chevy Silverado that was still fixable under the totaled limit from a storm-felled tree crushing the original. The one we got was a completely oxidized stem-to-stern burned-out hulk, the bodyshop sent it back as "refused", apparently believing straight metal was all that was required, they sent us another burned out one. We refused it and found another salvor. And when it was all said and done, and put back together at great cost, that poor Silverado lasted a month, then a DUI driver fleeing a traffic stop from the cops ran a "STOP" and T-boned it, totaling it for good. That was one snake-bit truck.

#3, It's not the first time we had it happen either, to a freshly-rebuilt car. One poor dude with a Sentra had it happen TWICE, as in the drive home from the bodyshop after getting the car repaired, someone would hit him... and right back in he'd go.
