Description:
Forgot to post this... pre-Pandemic, my uncle visited with his latest fancy rental car. Mercedes-Benz CLA45.

The most cramped backseat I've ever experienced... and I've ridden in the back of a VW Cabrio!

So basically, someone thought it would be a good idea to just give a coupe four doors.

#1, Here's the sitch. I'm 6' tall, with a long torso... I couldn't slink-down in the seat, because my knees were already crammed into the back of the front seat... I had to lean my body to the side. If I didn't do that, I'd have to crane my neck at a 45-degree angle.

The Cabrio allowed for me to sit straight-up, slinking just a bit... I've ridden in the back of a late '90s Firebird and felt like I had way more room.

This car's backseat is shit even compared to ACTUAL coupes.

I'm surprised they rent these given their performance stats. Fast as shit, but yeah, I don't like them ergonomically.

#3, My uncle is a member of some premier rental club run by Hertz. 89144 90571

[edit] In the past he's also rented a Camaro SS convertible and Mercedes AMG-tuned convertible.

Don't know what the status of such a thing would be now that Hertz has filed for bankruptcy.

I've gotten a 2SS convertible from Budget. I liked it but the interior, and my god the visibility. Yech.

He passed away this morning. The initial cancer diagnosis was only a month or so ago. It was only within the past week that the severity of the cancer was known.

The inevitable advancement of time is cruel.
