Dodge Omni GLH (goes like hell). And I bet it did. But not nearly fast enough to beat a viper.

There's no way a 2.2 Turbo Omni GLH will beat a viper in the quarter. My brother had one, they're quick, but not even close to being THAT quick. There are only a couple possibilities 1) they were bracket racing and the Omni ran closer to its index or 2) the viper owner can't drive or blew it up.

Or 3) The Omni is modded to hell and back, the Viper is stock, and the Viper owner can't drive.
A depressingly plausible scenario.

#9 Nope, it was a 2.2L, same engine that later went into the Charger/Daytona/Shelby Daytonas.
#10 Also an unfortunate possibility. But I don't think you could really sqeeze monster numbers out of that 2.2L Omni.

The GLH also had some pretty massive torque steer with the 5 speed. Hammer on it and it would jump to the right hard.

I saw a blown 440 in a K-car. To me, that's the definition of too much time on your hands. ProStreet K-Car, there's some words I never expected to see together.
