Other info: I'm a 28 year old misanthrope living in the outskirts of the post-apocalyptic
wasteland that was Detroit. My hobbies include writing, drinking, and wondering
why I'm pushing 30 and have never had a serious relationship.

Thanks man, I've been taking the necessary precautions, just glad to be working again, how have you been?

#14, Interesting, I'd like to see his work, we got some old Rancheros in the warehouse and have been offering floor pan kits for them, I'll try to grab some pics when I can

These were nice cars but a little too fat to be tuners, the engine spit out a respectable 290 hp tho, if I got the model year correct. I kinda dig the headlights

I could see myself pulling up to the party store in one of these, the rattling from the engine drowning out the Knight Ranger I'm playing on the radio

Yeah the machine I'm working on is older than me, but at least I'll get some rudimentary programming experience. My normal field of work is a CAD drafter but a lot of those jobs have dried up, the gaps in my resume didn't help either. Almost took a job in Virginia last November but the moving costs were too much. The last 18 months have been eye-opening to say the least

My family had one of these in the mid 90s, I haven't seen one in the wild in God knows how long

Got put on furlough til June at my job, then my old boss who laid me off in August of 2018 calls me up and offers me a CNC operator position. It's a much better pay rate and commute than my current job so it looks like I'm an "essential" employee for the time being. Probably going to quit the other job and hope to not get laid off again. It's an interesting place to work, we make replacement sheet metal parts for vintage Ford and Chevy cars, boss has a warehouse full of old wrecks we 3D scan and upload into a computer for CAD work. I'll try to snap some pics next week.

Very tempting indeed, 18 year old me would have been drooling over that T-Bird, 30 year old me is looking for something a little more conservative...of course I say that now but I'll be driving out to White Lake next week
