It's not as much that, as the fact that it's hard to find a car without ABS anymore, especially a performance one. Unless you buy a baseline kia, or something. |

1: Who?
2: Where is the humor?
3: Were you really able to look through 25 pages of idiocy for the two vids? I usually can't stand to read even one.

Because then it would have massive wheelspin. Give it too little gas and it lags. Give it too much, and good luck controlling all the power at once with an irs. |

Typical launch for a supra that's not drag-prepped. Turbo lag combined with irs will make for less than perfect holeshots. However, in most races the toyotas make up the ground very quickly once the boost actually hits. I've seen a race on streetfire.net where a supra races a modded '04 cobra from a roll, and while the mustang gets the jump due to immediate torque, the supra rockets past him a second later and put 10+ cars on him within seconds. I would really like to see the whole race in this case, though.
Here it is! http://videos.streetfire.net/search...4496FB9C490.htm
Most people say that supras are far from good dragstrip cars, and I agree in most cases. However, well-built ones are deadly.
Here is one running mid 6's on a 6-speed! It challenged the world's quickest 6-speed car, which is a viper and that runs only a tenth better.

Your car is very nice. It's good to see a mustang owner without the typical "omg straightline, yo!" mindset. But what gives about the lack of ABS? Especially on a performance car. |

I suspect that most people aren't rally racers. And you don't need to be driving 70mph on ice, you could be driving on the highway and hit an ice patch, but it doesn't matter. The system works at every speed. The only way it might be a hindrance sometimes is if you can't shut it off. Complete lack of one is a BAD thing.
LOL @ dogsled guy. |

Once again, lack of a stability control system is not a good thing. Even a pro driver would have a hard time being as good as a finely-tuned system. It allows people that are average drivers to handle a high-powered car and to be able to drive it in the rain and snow.
Top gear tested a jag in the winter, once with the stability control on and once off. They drove it 70 mph on a frozen lake and tried to avoid 3 obstacles. Despite their best attempts, the car only managed to avoid the first two, which called for swerving left and right, and plowed through the third one sideways. With the stability system on, it managed to miss all three with no sliding at all. On ice. At 70 mph. Sorry, but even a rally driver can't brake individual wheels.

Lack of a stability control is not a good thing, unless maybe you are a pro driver.
If people don't mind the GT being so expensive, then why do they complain about the nsx (one of the best handling cars and handmade) being so expensive? |

I don't see the difference. The vette is just as quick, handles just as well, and is of good quality. |

I never understood why GT's are even made. Why pay 120 grand for something that no better than a 60 grand Z06? |
