I think the SRT-4 should of won, fastest car there and from what I read its quite an auto-x car.

#22, well, as far as i know, their criteria was for an overall balanced and refined car...i mean, i can just imagine going from a neon into an acura...as for my own choice, eh, i would have probably taken the wrx, just because i love subies
if the name was "cheap speed", then i bet the rsx posted some good auto-x numbers too

SRT-4: 40.81
Saturn: 40.86
Cobalt: 40.96
WRX: 42.26
RSX: 42.77
If the article was called "Cheap Speed" those are pretty much the numbers I'd be looking at.

you guys should really watch that comparo on tv...they rev up the neon, and that fucking things sounds like a mini V8...raspy and deep, NOTHING like a typical import, and that's without mufflers

#28, well, here it plays on saturdays and sundays on spike tv/tnn, the show is C&D television...but that was last week, so who knows...and neon = srt-4, from that comparo

I'd take the Cobalt. I was surprised that the Saturn almost had the fastest auto-x time.

#32, It is the fastest according to the times, and the Cobalt is my personal choice. Similar numbers as a SRT-4, but I can't deal with the SRT-4 looks and it's a coupe.
