Even without engaging the intercooler spray, we ran from a standstill to 60 mph in 5.1 seconds and on through the quarter-mile in 13.9 seconds at 102 mph. Launching the four-wheel-drive car is a lesson in clutch abuse since you can't spin the tires with a clutch drop. To make matters worse, our testing surface was extremely grippy, making a good launch difficult. We also ran the car to its 7000-rpm redline in fifth gear, which calculates (thanks to revs-per-mile tire specs we had to telephone to Belgium for) to 148 mph.Despite the high-performance credentials, the Lancer still drives with typical Japanese-car ease, with fairly light wheel, shifter, and pedal efforts. Nor is there the gigantic turbo lag you might expect from an assembly big enough to blow 17 pounds. No, the Lancer drives around at low and medium engine speeds about as willingly as any runabout of its size. Then it launches into ferocious acceleration at anything above 4000 rpm.

On the highway, this thing scoots into gaps in fifth gear with the kind of throttle response usually reserved for Vettes and Vipers--and does so extremely smoothly, thanks to Mitsubishi's balance-shaft engine.

Or like saying an Eagle talon Tsi and a GSX are the same thing or even saying a Stealth R/T is the same as a VR4

Can I post from magazines too...please!!
"Zero to 60 in 2.43 seconds. That's the amazing stat Hennessey Motor Sports' new Venom 800 Viper. Last month, we gave you the exclusive first look at Texas-based asp-kicker John Hennessey's latest tuner creation, his Venom 800 twin-turbo Viper GTS that belted out a whopping 833 hp and a mountain-pulling 902 lb-ft of torque. A Superflow chassis dyno verified that an unholy 725 hp was being delivered to the rear tires. However, the act of actually getting that gargantuan power to the pavement without merely vaporizing the rear tires would be the real test.

At full throttle, the Venom 800 Twin-Turbo pulls so ungodly hard your face will contort into shapes approximating a Tammy Faye Bakker halloween mask, so don't look in a mirror. After a 10-sec quarter-mile run (street tires wildly spinning the entire way; rearend skating left and right toward the guardrails), you'll probably need to change your underwear."

"Another dry day would surely come, and we're more than confident the Venom 800 will break the 200-mph barrier. Heck, if conditions are right, an all-out top-speed run may be in order. How fast, you ask? We'd put money on a solid 230-mph-all with a warranty and air conditioning, mind you."

Ok but your still basically talking about fuel injected small blocks not the 10 seconds in a crate I’m talking about. Id love to see you put the dyno sheets together with the 426. And 4cl does not equal rice. Remember that

that venom is nice... but this skyline is better...This particular R34 is pumping out over 1300hp. It hosts two giant HKS GT3240 turbochargers, providing enough charge to handle an awesome 2.7kg boost. This R34 also features an HKS Vein Pressure Controller (VPC) and an HKS EVC (Electronic Valve Controller) Veilside also hold the fastest record on the strip using Radial Tires at 272.16km/h, with a dragstrip time of a mere 8 seconds.
