#74, That is quite possibly one of the funniest things I have ever read.

The Japanese come up with some of the STRANGEST fucking ideas.

#81, Well, if it sounds appealing to you, I highly recommend it. I got it off torrent, but it's also apparently available for viewing on YouTube... but the episodes on YouTube appear to have been subititled by a different group, so I'm not sure how good that subtitling that is.

Two series I've started on recently...

Trinity Blood Saw the first four episodes at a friend's house... that series is just... jaw-droppingly awesome. It's like an orgasm of awesomeness, gunplay, blood, violence, and a bit of humor...and some emotionally touching scenes too. My friend only had the first DVD though...

Sailor Moon No. I'm not joking. I'm borrowing my friend's DVD set of the first season (46 episodes) It's the uncut, subtitled-only set, not the edited English dub (Thank God)... I've gotten through 8 episodes so far, and I have to say it is a VERY enjoyable series. Kinda like a guilty pleasure.

...and forgot to mention, but I've seen a bit of Bleach too... my friend has the first two DVDs, saw the first 8 episodes... but it's getting really annoying, each of the first two DVDs ends with a HUGE FREAKING cliffhanger...aaarggghhhh... but otherwise, it's a FANTASTIC SERIES... Chad and Kon are ridiculously excellent XD

Time for an obscure series... Salaryman Kintaro

A story about a biker-gang-leader-turned-white-collar-businessman... it actually has some sweet moments and really fun to watch... some good humor and action too. I've only seen the first 3 episodes (out of 20) so far.

-R.O.D.-The TV- THAT was a fantastic series... I mean, DAMN it rocked. It was a tad confusing at some points, but overall it was very fulfilling.

...and I just started both Sailor Moon R (the second season of the show) and Wolf's Rain... Wolf's Rain looks fantastic so far, and Sailor Moon R seems up to par with the first season.

Plus, I'm getting boxsets of Full Metal Panic! and Full Metal Panic? FUMOFFU in the mail soon... will have to see how good those are.

#89, Wolf's Rain was some pretty weird shit. I never got to see the last two or three episodes of it, though.

Well, disc 4 of Wolf's Rain was a waste... I mean, I know shows sometimes have clip shows, but FOUR?! IN A ROW?!

Well... the *first* ending of Wolf's Rain (ep 26) was.... well it was good, I won't deny that, but the 4 episode OVA series that REALLY wrapped up the series... WOW... I was bawling tears when Toboe died in Quent's arms...

Full Metal Panic! Sucked. Full Metal Panic? FUMOFFU Rocked. That's all I have to say about that...

...and also, an Escaflowne DVD set I was planning on buying for $25 on eBay got snapped up... I'd be pissed, but then another set popped up for only $20. Didn't hesitate... well, I did.. contacted the seller to make sure it was the 8-disc Bandai set, and not an import/bootleg... but the moment I got their affirmative reply, I bought it. Now all I have to do is wait.

Vision of Escaflowne A schoolgirl romance drama-meets-giant-fighting-robot-drama... apparently it was designed as a shonen/shojo hybrid series... but it really was quite good. I loved it.

Ok... I think this is kinda neat... looking up Japanese voice actors... you have

Shinichiro Miki, who has voiced...
-Takumi in Initial D
-Weber in Full Metal Panic
-Allen in Escaflowne

...and Tomokazu Seki, who has voiced...
-Keisuke in Initial D
-Sagara in Full Metal Panic
-Van in Escaflowne

How do they keep end up co-starring as the two main male characters?

...unrelated, but talking about voice actors again... in one of my all-time favorite Anime series, Karin, two of the female voice actresses, who play Karin's mom and Kenta's mom, played Sailor Jupiter and Sailor Mercury in Sailor Moon.

...unrelated again, just FYI, my favorite male voice actor is Unshou Ishizuka.
Female? Either Megumi Hayashibara or Aya Hisakawa.

Sailor Moon R It's better than the first season, it's wonderful. I'm only halfway through it though.

Midori Days I already discussed it in 63536, but suffice to say, I loved it. It was bloody fantastic. Some great action sequences, WONDERFUL humor, and a really nice romance.

Ai Yori Aoshi (and its sequel, ~Enishi~) ...beautiful, BEAUTIFUL romance Anime... I adored it so much.

Samurai X: Trust and Betrayal The absolute highest-rated Anime on Anime News Network, and for good reason... DAMN that was awesome... but very VERY bloody. Makes me want to watch the TV series it was based on, Rurouni Kenshin.

Noir Halfway through it right now... it's pretty good, EXCELLENT music.

#96, I'm actually not a huge fan of the Trust and Betrayal OVA series. It's good, yes, but the original Rurouni Kenshin series had a few comedic aspects to it that are somewhat lacking from the more serious OVAs. Basically, after the war, Kenshin semi-retires, and his personality is quite a bit different when he's not constantly being drawn back into fights. He's actually a bit of a comical character in the regular series.

Oddly enough, Noir is one of my favorites because it's a fairly character-driven series (especially toward the end); I like the way that they develop the two main protagonists, and I like the way that the series ends, even if it could be criticized as cliche. It's hard not to sympathize with one of the central characters, even if she does seem to be able to kill people out of pure reflex using practically any available object. The English dub that ADV did is easily as good as the original Japanese.

The music is good, too. Kajiura, IMHO, does better work than Kanno.

#95, Seki shows up in just about everything. I knew he did Sagara and Keisuke, as well as major characters in the more recent Gundam series, but it turns out that he also voiced characters in Chobits and some of the Evangelion stuff.

#98, Yeah, I've got a text file going on my computer to keep track of seiyuus who've voiced characters in 2 or more series I've seen.

It's funny watching Bleach, and seeing the guy in the green/white striped hat, and after hearing his voice, expecting him to hop in a Trueno and drive down a mountain road.

...what's even freakier... the guy that voices Itsuki voices the main character in Golden Boy... it's weird hearing him as a hyper-intelligent can-do-anything awesome main character, when I'm so used to him being a goofy suck-up who's lucky he hasn't wrecked his Levin yet.

Gungrave. Apparently, it's based on a videogame... the series is really two parts... the part based on the videogame (episodes 1 and 17-26), and the prequel to the videogame (episodes 2-16) showing how all the characters ended up where they were. (Episode 2 takes place 25 years before the events of the final episodes)

The prequel episodes were far and away FANTASTIC... I mean, seriously, damn. An amazing and engrossing storyline... the episodes based on the time the videogame takes place in... to paraphrase Monty Python... "Right, stop that. This has gotten far too silly." Too much science fiction crap.

Last Exile Up through episode 12 right now... one of the best OP sequences EVER. The show itself is quite awesome too, but honestly, after seeing this and FMP, Gonzo relies on CGI for action sequences WAAAAAYYYY too much. But I really do want to see where this story is going... so many characters and subplots...
