Finding one of these is extremely rare, considering Nissan attempted to buy-back and destroy every single one it ever sold in America.
The original engine, used in Japanese and other markets, was considered far too underpowered for American highways, so they shoehorned a larger unit into it for the USDM. Unfortunately, it was too shoehorned, which led to a propensity for bursting into flames. Nissan dragged their feet badly initially, and, under immense pressure, finally launched the effort to eliminate all of them from the American market.
Even cramming in that larger engine still resulted in a ludicrously slow 19 second 0-60 time, anyway.
