Geist02mds: What a find! That sounds like an awesome project! A friend and I are currently building a '71 Dodge Demon. We have built a 440 w/ Edelbrock aluminum heads & numerous other goodies. Not as nice as a Challenger or 'Cuda but rice killer all the same. Best of luck with your project!
BTW, I eat my words about the poor handling. They weren't that bad.

One of these days I'm going to buy a 426 Hemi short block, build it with 9:1 compression, them put a blower on it. Then I'll buy an A-body, mini-tub it, and hook that motor to an 833 4-gear. Paint it black with violet flames. That would kick ass, and I think I could build it for less than $30,000 (let's see a ricer do that).

Skid if you want to build a blown Hemi car you might wana think about a 392. You can buy a kit with blower for $8000 as apposed to $12000 for a motor and $3000 for an 8-71. God Bless Performance Automotive Warehouse and all my fellow Mopar heads that keep it in business. Check out the site http://www.pawinc.com

500+ that’s not true. Demons are beautiful light cars that handles as well as they look, with the use of a sway bar of course. I didn’t used to be a big A-Body fan but one of my best friends just bought a 1970 Duster. It’s only a 340 but we just pulled a 440 out of a motor home and hopefully will be dropping it in soon. There are pics of it here. http://hometown.aol.com/gtxman1968/cars2.html. Congratulations on en excellent choice in the project and I hope it comes out nicely.
