Description:
Here's "The Brick" - my 1985 Volvo 240 GL. This pic was taken about half an hour ago at an old abandoned store up the road. Sorry the pic is so light, but the weather today is less than ideal. In fact, it's very dark and very rainy.

#19, your sense of imagery of pretty damn cool. I can see what you describe with perfect clarity.

I was in driving down this road today and had my camera with me, and upon approaching this old store, I remembered the picture I took of The Brick here.

So I decided to take a new picture in nearly the same spot, ten and a half years later: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/0...zps97e8aed7.jpg

#22, And it's still there.

The road it's at the edge of, though (County Road 423, known locally as "Firetower Road") is now completely paved.

My fondest memories of this Volvo now are hauling ass down that road, timing myself with a stopwatch, all four windows and the sunroof open, aviator shades on, blasting "Love 'Em Or Leave 'Em" by the Scorpions over my tape deck, while I slide through the loose dirt on corners and manually shifted the automatic. I still have no idea how I never wrecked the car.
