a paper (FWST/dfw.com) reported statistics that NHL players are better overall compared to other sport players due to the fact they are smarter, more have an actual education, contribute more to communities and charities, and less likely to be involved in crime.

i'm not gonna say what it said about the fans since that could offend since it almost went off on a racial "who's better" tangent.

the story is over a year old but makes sense.
