Indeed. Toyota's really dragging their feet on announcing who'll be driving for Team Red Bull next year...

The other two teams:

Bill Davis Racing
22 - Dave Blaney. Good driver. Shitty team that hasn't been competitive since 2002.
23 - ??? Coule be Mike Skinner or Bill Lester. Both decent drivers, but same shitty team.

Michael Waltrip Racing
55 - Michael Waltrip. Actually even worse than BDR. His team has already failed to qualify for a race this year, and will probably miss quite a few more. Most probably will miss the '07 Daytona 500.
00? 28? - Dale Jarrett. Why for the love of God did he sign with this team? $20 million to drive for two years, that's why. Toyota's got deep pockets.

As for TRB...
83 - Who the fuck knows. Toyota desperately tried to get Kevin Harvick, but he extended his contract with RCR. Casey Mears appears to be being pursued by Toyota now for this ride.

...and TRB's second team... not much is known... the 83 car will be sponsored by Red Bull, obviously, the second car might or might not be sponsored by Red Bull... they aren't even sure of a number yet.

...oh and as a P.S., MWR getting Dale Jarrett is their ONLY saving grace. He's got the past-champion's provisional starting spot to use, so he won't miss a race no matter how shitty his car is.

You can have Montoya back, he just can't learn F1.
(yes, I know he didn't drive in NASCAR)

He DID drive a Nascar-style car as a promotional thing a few years ago... he and Jeff Gordon "switched rides" for a little test at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway infield roadcourse...

Jeff Gordon, having never driven that track before, having never driven an F1 car before, was only a couple of seconds off of Michael Schumacher's record lap time of the facility. Imagine if he actually had experience in an F1 car and was able to get it set-up to his liking...

As for Montoya... driving Jeff Gordon's Nascar-racer, he repeatedly locked up the brakes and skidded off the course.

#4, This guy's temper makes him a horrible driver. He can take a podium finish only to crash in next 3 races.
