Description:
Rallycross Porsche 930 Turbo.
This photo was taken in 1970, by 1990s these things had twin turbos and pumped out around 800hp. AWD was put in them only in later years.

1970? That looks more like an '80s 911 to me, with the whale tail spoiler and taillights. Also, that appears to be a Rabbit or Mk1/2 Golf in the second picture.

#1, As I mentioned, this photograph was taken during a 1970 rallycross event. I suspect the car was brand new, perhaps only being tested as the livery is totally plain. Of course, it's possible the site was wrong, maybe the pictures got mixed up. What amazes me is the fact that this model was raced until 1995 or so, that's a very long life span for a race car.

#2, The 930 was not introduced until 1975, and the first Rabbit/Golfs came out in 1974. The site must have gotten their dates wrong.
