I really like these.

Yes, they're FWD and have an Isuzu motor.

I still say Kia should have tried selling the Elan in America after they bought the rights to it... yeah, ok, I admit, it was even worse-off in the motor department, replacing the Isuzu unit with a Sephia engine >_<

But they could have sold it for a MUCH lower price than what Lotus asked when they tried selling it in America, which was one of the main reasons it failed for Lotus. Plus it probably would have helped Kia bring more attention to itself in its early days, get more people into its showrooms.

I would have bought one, and I suspect a few other uber-sports car nerds who knew about the thing would, but I doubt it would have sold in any quantity high enough to justify the costs of bringing it over.
