Sadly, it didn't finish because it broke an axle shaft on the first lap.
One of the few Tuckers that doesn't still exist, it was undergoing restoration in Florida in the 1970s when it burned up in a garage fire. The scorched remains were stripped of anything useful and the rest of it was buried in the owner's yard.

This car was long thought to be the long-dead #1023, however more recent research has revealed the NASCAR Tucker was actually #1004, which DOES still exist.
It's in Japan today, on display at the Toyota Automobile Museum. Originally grey with blue interior (including most likely when it was raced), it was long ago repainted in maroon with tan interior.
