That car basically rolled over and died after a few months, but that wasn't a big deal for a car that I think he only paid $400 for. I think he ended up selling it for $50 to some guy from Alabama. The most "off-beat" cars I could remember outside of my family were two kids whose parents had a late '70s Accord coupe and a Saab 900 convertible. Perhaps that's why I have been so fascinated with Japanese and European cars from the '70s, as they're like a different universe for me.
