I think this car had a very slick design; if I had to pick one component of the styling that let it down, it's the headlights. You look at contemporary BMWs and Maserati Biturbos, which had similar designs, and their headlights had interesting looks to them.

This looks like it has headlights from a goddamn late '80s Camry.

Really, many of the trendy Italian designs of the '80s haven't aged very well. The boxy square look is charming, but now it's hard to believe it was ever actually fashionable.

#2, I respectfully disagree. I find the Italian boxy designs of the late '80s/early '90s to be rather fetching.

Bias may be coming into play, as I have a sentimental affinity for my father's Giugiaro-penned Dodge Monaco.

I saw this car puttering around town recently. It looks a bit worse for wear but is still going.
