Description:
Land Rover 110.
Stopped in front of me on the street, the "driver's" door opened and the person who got out went trotting down the sidewalk. I was *this* close to yelling at them that they can't just block a travel lane like that when it pulled away, and I realized that was the passenger getting out, it was RHD. |

#2, That would make sense, that's about the time the 110 nomenclature was dropped when the 110'' wheelbase model was bifurcated into the Defender/Discovery lines. |

This has UK plates. Did it have any on the front? I'm curious, because in my hometown, the guy with the Corvair trucks (I posted those a long-ass time ago) had a bunch of Defenders which were seized when the crackdown on Defenders began. I wonder if this was his. |

I was curious because it has a dealer sticker in the back glass. |

#4, Most likely this one's history can be traced back to Harrisburg, or more specifically, Mechanicsburg, across the river. That's where all the car dealerships (and money) are for the State Capitol area. (H-burg itself is a depressing ex-blue collar dump of a city) Aside from the usual suspects, the only Land Rover/Jaguar/Porsche dealers in the whole central PA region are down there, and have been since the 80's. |

#8, Once in a while. Some guy around here had a Unimog for a while, but sold it. And there's a guy out by the airport who owns a milspec Land Rover of some kind... but I never see it move from under the carport.

#10, That definitely wins for most exotic "mundane" vehicle around here, with it gone, you'd probably have to choose from the collection of small-volume 60's to 80's imported euro roadsters like Triumphs and the like. |
