Oooh, this is the car that goes barreling past Ponch and John on the freeway, snapping them out of their conversation wherein they speculate if the elusive gang of suspiciously clean-cut 20-year-old-teenagers they've been chasing for 2 acts might be using walkie-talkies hidden inside transistor radios to coordinate their robberies....

#2, This being one of those rare times the perps' car isn't wrecked on CHiPs, mainly because the crew didn't have time to install a roll cage in between the interior shots and the second-unit stunt work.

It's later repainted gold and used in a similar role later in the season, then painted light blue and finally destroyed when used as a "catch car" for a jump in the next season.
