Well, my year-long battle with Lufthansa has reached its conclusion.

Won't go into details, but my trip to Finland was an absolute nightmare, and Lufthansa's customer service is shockingly bad. All I can say is, never, ever, fly Lufthansa, and for the love of God, don't go through the Frankfurt airport.

After numerous failed attempts to get any kind of response from Lufthansa's customer service, not even an acknowledgment that I exist, I opened a case with the German Public Transport Arbitration Board. I had asked for either a formal apology from Lufthansa for how they repeatedly failed me, or monetary compensation. I got no apology, and a settlement offer of 75€. It's a fucking insult. Oh well. Live and learn. I will do everything I can do to not change planes/deal with layovers. Direct flights from now on. (Which is why my most recent trip to France included a 6 hour roadtrip across Spain, and then back again across France)

I flew to Frankfurt on Luftansa in 97' and didn't have any issues.....

... my baggage, on the other hand, ended up in Athens, meaning my shave kit has seen more of the world than I have!

#2, My checked bag getting to my destination almost three days after I did was the least of my problems.
