Description: Apparently Mitsubishi still has life left in it. 2027 Pajero. Not a rebadged Nissan; it's legit based on the in-house Triton pickup, and will have serious off-road kit and cred. To be seen if it will reach American shores.

They should bring this, and the Triton over. Might make the US take them a bit more seriously.

#1, This, perhaps, but the Triton would be killed by the Chicken Tax, unless Mitsubishi finds some place to build it in North America.

#2, Oh, oops. I assumed the Triton was based on the Navara (it is), which I thought was based on our Frontier (it is not, apparently).

#3, Supposedly it's the other way around. When Nissan essentially absorbed Mitsubishi, they based their next-gen Navara on the Triton that Mitsubishi was already developing. It's nice that some legit, in-house Mitsubishi soul is still seeing the light of day.
