Richard Petty and his Plymouth-factory-backed team protest this ban and boycott the '65 season. So what does Richard and his Plymouth team do? They go professional drag racing in a Plymouth Barracuda, called "43 Jr.", and nicknamed "Outlawed". In '66, NASCAR relented, removed the ban, and Richard came back.
