Hmm...for one reason or another, I doubt that that's an actual SVT...I wonder why I
think that...

i just realized that the wong wouldn't look too bad if it wasn't a double decker

I saw a car JUST like this out driving one night... Cobra with a double deck wing thing. He wouldn't race... afraid that contraption in back might send him into orbit I guess.

At least if this really IS an SVT the wing would serve a purpose (car can actually reach 100+ MPH fairly easily, not like a fucking civic grocery carrier, FWD). Can't justify the double decker though. Just plain ugly, overdone.

at the speeds he's looking at driving, the wing would still only create drag.

I dont know why you'd announce your having NOS with a license plate bracket even if you did have it. Anyone remember what a sleeper is anymore? Guess not...too concerned with image over HP.

i actually want to make mine (#1631) a sleeper. i'd love to see the looks on rcers faces when my car, that is 30+ years older than theirs leaves it in the dust with 30+ year old technology.

It's a good look, OldSchool. Tons of fun. You'll enjoy it. That is, if they'll even race you. They won't race my Mustang, even though it looks mostly stock. Magnum 500s, a Mach 1 hoodscoop, raised white letter tires and a Mach 1 spoiler are the only deviations from stock externally. They still won't go.

what year is yours? i'm gonna stroke the 302 to 347, bore it over .030, hotter cam (still researching), set of twisted wedge heads, throw a holley power charger on it, JBA headers, 2.5" pipes to Edelbrock RPM series mufflers, 9" pumpkin out back with 4.11 gears, TKO (or other heavy duty 5-6 speed tranny)...lotsa fun stuff.

*note: there are no wings, body kits, or sticker packages in my plans so i'm not sure how i'll make it fast but i'll come up with something.

i like that they won't race you, eventhough they think so low of Mustangs. they're actually scared of them so they make fun of them to make up for it.

'70 coupe, arrest-me red, Magnums, 351 Clevor (Windsor with Cleveland heads, Boss 351, pretty much,) -very- rare Track Boss intake, 750 CFM Holley, 2.5 inch dual exhaust, 3-chamber Flowmasters, Comp Cams camshaft, Hooker headers, built AOD transmission (don't laugh... it's got a lower 1st gear than the old 4-speeds, and when overdrive kicks in it's like I've got a 2.79 rear end in it, I hit 80 at 2500 RPM) and a 3.91 posi 9 inch. Power disc brakes on all 4 corners, and the rear end is an inch narrower than stock so I can fit bigger tires on it when I go to the strip. I haven't yet, because I don't have a helmet, and I haven't got a roll cage in the car yet (something tells me I'm going to need one after I get my first timeslip.)

i wouldn't laugh at an AOD. i'm considering one but i like to bang through the gears. i've always wondered what a Clevor was...now i know. thanks. i'd love to see some times when you get them. as for me i have an Edelbrock (some people say it's a weiend which it is) 750 cfm on my 302. that causes all sorts of problems since the car can't get the amount of vacuum it need to run right. so until i can get that replaced i am up shit creek.

Sounds like you've got yours pretty well figured out. That's going to haul, and sound nice too. I tried to keep mine quiet when my foot's not in it. It's ALREADY a bright-red musclecar, I don't need any more police attention.

exactly. i want a blower that will fit under the hood so i'm not a police magnet. the paxton one looked nice but i guess they're better for fuel injected cars and since mine is carbed i was told to get a holley. having a big ass blower sticking out of the hood won't help my sleeper image at all.

Yeah, with one sticking out the hood you'd be getting shit from the cops even when you aren't doing anything wrong, because they think that it obstructs your sight enough to be a hazard.

You know, most people make fun of Mustangs because they are American muscle cars and are not little japanese things with high pitch engines. Personally... I only laugh at the 'stang boys driving in their new V6's that are slower than my Saturn, but still think they rule the road. That I don't get. One thing I would love about owning an old stang, or any old big block beast, would be all the room! Oh god, you can supercharge the hell out of one and still have room to sit in the engine and roast marshmallows. I swear with my car I have to take off the intake manifold, remove 50+ bolts and hang my car from the ceiling upsidedown just to add washer fluid! hahaha (dork mode off, for a change)

-Jay (who has nothing but the stock wing, no phat chrome dubs, no stickers/badges, no bright colors, but is still real fast)
