Description:
I hate Bose home theater systems. They are way overriced and they have absolutely no mids. You can tell that by looking at them. They consist of a sub and tweeters. They just aren't worth it. I find them painful to listen to. |

#21, That is so not fair. God you have no idea how bad I want a system like that.... but all my money goes to my horse (not that I mind, I love him), when he's paid off and Dave gets the Vette and I get the Z, I will finally (hopefully) be able to do something like that.

If it makes you feel any better, I have been building this system for about 5 years. Ive gone through about 15-20 sets of front speakers, 5-6 sets of rear speakers, about 15 subwoofers, and 3-4 amps. All of those have been blown, fried, or just plain thrashed. I do believe that I have finally found the right combination that works all the time. I did just blow a sub last month though.

#27, Unfortunately, those unconditional warantees cost money too. But I got those at half price too. All my shit is still good for at least 2 years :-)

That's okay. I know how it is though, people are always asking Dave for computer help and I know he gets sick of it. He is suposed to be building his step brother a computer right now, or looking into or something. It kinda sucks.

going back to the original topic, my neighbor builds custom stereos (for home and auto) and he used to tell me Bose has great ideas but they use "less than quality" components.

#39, I used to own a pair of Bose speakers that I got in some weird audio trade... anyways, I cracked one open and the inside crossover was well, cheap. Just a single resistor and electrolytic cap... cheap paper tweeter too. Much junkier quality compared to the 4th-order crossover in my Adire HE10.1 kit speakers.
