#4, They were expensive here, especially by the time they got 12 cylinders. They became a status symbol among the affluent. |

#4, they were hardly cheap, you could buy 2 Corvettes or 3 similarly specced Alfas for the same amount. The 3.8 six cylinder series 1 was actually a much better, even faster car than the later 12 cylinders as well. |
