Isn't it an Eagle Kammback rather than a Gremlin? I know I'm splitting hairs, but the Kammback had the big side-rear windows like that.

It was still called Gremlin in Mexico.

You see all sorts of strangeness south of the border. You see all sorts of newer strangeness just north of the border, too. There's a Ford Ka parked in the street outside my house right now.

#3, shit. I know when I was in Santa Fe a few years ago I saw a Nissan Tusru or something like that.

#4, Ah yes, I believe that's based on an older sentra.

#4, Tsuru. It's a Sentra re-badged. We also see lots of Ford Lobos, which is an F-150.

Browse some Mexico automobile manufacturers websites...its amazing how different their lineups really are south of the border. They sell Renaults and Opels down there.

#7, Indeed. Although I am wondering why the American's don't get some of the smaller cars. I kinda like the Corsa.

#7, MGs are really popular, too. The most common TJ-registered cars I see over here are Kas, Fiestas and Nissan X-Trails. The X-Trail in particular looks like it would seel by the grip over here, It's a small, stylish SUV I'm sure would compete well with the RAV-4. Wonder why it's not for the US.

#9, I like them, myself. I would probably take one if someone offered it to me.

#8, The Corsa is a flaming piece of shit. I remember the Sniffpetrol advertisement "Show the world you know dick-all about cars".

#11, My grandma in France drives a Corsa :(

Basically she wanted the smallest car at a dealership that was within walking distance from her house. Closest dealer was an Opel dealer.

Oh yeah, tomorrow, my mom is coming back from her one-month stay in France, and my grandma is coming with her. Haven't seen my grandma in 5 years.

#11, HAHA . Is it worse than the Aveo?

on a side note, I kinda like the Pontiac G4. Even though it is a Cobalt, the Pontiac styling works well on it.

#13, Both pretty bad. A good Super-mini class car would be a Clio or a Citroen C1, maybe a Peugeot 206. All infinitely better than the Corsa, which I understand is made from recycled dog crap press-board and nail clippings.

well, it appears they have the 'angry' Suburban in Mexico. It doesn't really look all that bad.

Speaking of Mexican Suburbans... One of my favorite restaurants is a local place called Carina's. Great Baja-style mariscos (seafood, y'all :p) It's TOTALLY MAFIA. Parking lot full of TJ-registered Suburbans, 745is, Hummers and the like. All with DARK tint and massive wheels. VIP room full of sharp-suited guys with tattoos and hot wives. Very cool.

It also appears that Chevy Trackers sold in Mexico are rebadged US Vitaras, right down to wheels and factory altezzas.
