Ah, the 2002 Dodge/Save Mart 350 at Infineon Raceway.

Interesting notes:
--The Speedway was known as Sears Point the day before the race. Infineon put together an 11th hour deal where they would sponsor the speedway so that it would be the "Infineon Raceway", and track workers spent all night re-decal-ing the entire speedway, and putting up Infineon billboards.

--The race was almost a Cinderella-story. Jerry Nadeau, who had been fired by Hendrick Motorsports earlier in the year, was in a one-race shot with the struggling Petty Enterprises team, in the REALLY struggling #44 GeorgiaPacific car. He had spun out earlier in the race, but through sheer luck and determination, he was leading the race with about 10 laps to go... he had built up a tremendous lead on 2nd place Ricky Rudd, and looked to win the race. But, tragically, with a few laps to go, his car broke, and he had to pull off the track. :(

Jerry Nadeau is in the circled white/blue car in the back, eventual race winner Ricky Rudd is in the black and yellow car near the front.
