The car is known as Milka (it's not blue but is the same violet color as Milka chocolate packages) or Hyena (I am told the car is equipped in a recirculating valve instead of a blow-off: I'm no mechanic but it sure sounds like a laughning hyena when the gas is lifted). The driver (known as Turbo President) is a retired rally driver (health problems). The most experienced driver in amateur rally scene and one of the fastest (is known to eat WRX's).

nice. Is this car a drag car, or a rally car, or can it do both?

#2, Rally car, but no problems with flooring it in the straight line ;)
But I'd be surprised if the guy ran it in drag. He clearly has some rally habits, like dropping the inside wheels onto the grass/dirt to cut corners or constant small movements of the steering wheel (checking/searching for grip). I rode with him once in hopes of learning something. Never was in a car that fast, so I remember nothing :(
Although he did drag with a mostly un-stock WRX (non-STi) and he was dead even.

Hm, I browsed the internet and it seems the "hyena laughter" sound is caused by the lack of BOV or CBV.

The guy decided to buy/build a new car for this season, this one is too 'tired'.
However, his ex-co-driver has another Astra GSi and plans the same swap: Calibra Turbo engine ;)
