Description:
1976 Porsche 912E.

Because of a gap in terms of the 914 being discontinued, and the 924 being a year off, Porsche reintroduced the Porsche 912 as the "cheap Porsche" for just one year, powered by the 2.0L VW engine that had powered the most recent versions of the 914.

The previous 912 had been a 911 with a 356 engine that was produced from 1965-1969.

Well, it was only a stopgap model in production merely a year or less... I don't think it was all that successful... I'm sure there were probably some Porsche dealers in 1976 that didn't know it existed :P
