That is totally not true, I like so many more cars then BMW's, but the M5 is perfect competition for the 600, plus i usually also say in my opinion. I love Ferrari's, porsches', benz, some domestics, like the 35th aniversary SS w/ the LS1 engine in it, so I just like BMW's a lot, just like most of you like domestics. but benz and bmw are competitors, thats why i stated the M5 |

600 is a 2-door. An M3 would be a better equivalent. Can that hang with a 600? |

Well, it may well be true that you like all of those cars. But bear in mind that all I or anyone else on this board knows about you is what you post, and all you EVER post, in response to EVERY car, is that this BMW or that would beat it. You come across just like dumbasses like no1camaro, except you have more expensive tastes. |

I'll put money on it, 0-60 in 4.5 and will out handle it. M3's, by two magazines are considered the best handling cars, plus look how much money you'll save, about 80 grand. Take em' to a track and I got money on the BMW............not to say I don't like mercedes and that I don't respect them. |

M3 does 0 - 60 in 5.3, buddy. sorry to bust your bubble. My point is, every post you EVER do is "Yaddah, yaddah, yaddah, m5 would beat it, blah, blah." |

jesus, fanatical brand loyalty pisses me off. Also, M3 is not "the best handling cars." I can't even begin to think of the massive quantity of cars that handle better than the m3. |

Well, an original GT40 will take your M3 to school in pretty much any aspect you choose to debate. BMW does NOT make the world's fastest, best handling, best accelerating, or most luxurious cars. So? That doesn't mean the M3 isn't still a good car. And the fact that the M3 can (supposedly) beat a CL600 doesn't make the CL600 any less of a badass car. Which brings me back to my point: there are good cars out there that weren't built by BMW. You're doing a really shitty job of convincing me that you realize this. |

I kno, I was in no way hating on the CL600, I think the car is awesome my self, I'm just saying, some guy on another forum on here about the cl600 and M5, so I was just stating the fact of its competition. |

I'm NOT all about domestics. I'm also not a non-thinking FANATIC to some brand that isn't even all that great. Sure, they're better than some, but they're not the best cars ever made. See, what makes me mad about you and no1camaro is that you automatically back up your alleged cars as THE BEST MAD TYTE RIDE EVER regardless of what the comparison is. Yes, an m3 is a good car. Yes, an m5 is fast. However, they're far from the best car ever made. They're not the fastest, the best handling, the best made, or the most luxurious. |

But they're NOT equivalents! The M5 is a sedan with a huge-ass engine in it. A European musclecar, if you will. The CL600 is a sports car. Its competition includes the Porsche 911, Dodge Viper, Chevrolet Corvette, and soon the Ford GT40. How it compares with the M5 is not important. They're not competition for each other. |

CRXtrackguy, in 95' when the E36 M3 came out, the put it up against a ferrari, corvette, comaro, and a lambo i believe, and it won best handling, I am in no way making this up, I"m not sayin they are the quickest, we al kno the ferrar, vette, and lambo would take it. If you watch the American Le Mans series, you can see why they are such good handling, they are most of the time beating the Vettes and the Vipers. |

Ok lets go to a different car and I'll give you a good comparison crx, just name one, I won't make it a BMW. I love BMW's and been around them all my life so I'm very confident in them, just like SOME of the guys here that are about camaros and vettes and all that, now if you really want, i'll compare them w/ something else, but all these guys are always talkin about Mopar and taking civics, now is that such a big deal? no, not saying that is you. |

But who here will ever drive in the Le Mans??? Probably no one. If you're talking street and local racing a Viper will wipe the floor with both cars anyway. So it's really pointless. |

So, how exactly is it better than all those other cars just because it's better handling? Last time I checked, racing measures lap times, not skidpad numbers. If it's slower on the track and on the street, it's SLOWER, whether it handles better or not. |
