I still get R&T every month in the mail... I have a subscription that runs until mid '08... I think either my dad or my grandma got me a 10-year subsciption back in '98.

#19, Continued... Yes, I used to not be suprised when a new Toyota minivan or GM sedan showed up because I had known about it for years in advance, but fuck that shit. I'd much rather read about the development, people and personalities and history behind a car than some barely-researched and reworded press release. Great photography, writing and reports that make you feel you know what a car is like to drive too.

I've read one issue of CAR, and I honestly wasn't that impressed. To me, good photography was about the only highlight.

I've always been fond of C&D, mainly because I think John Phillips is hilarious.

"You didn't even list any Italian cars here. No Ferraris, no Lamborghinis...."
"I'm afraid of fires."

#23, The C&D editorials were great. Car has been getting worse for a few years now, and I no longer read it myself... ever since they won "Best Designed Magazine" back in 2002 or so it's been downhill. What was the aproximate publication date of the one you read?

$10 may seem like a lot for a magazine, but I'm down to only one now aren't I?

#24, I don't remember the date (or even what all was in it), but I seem to remember an article on the newest Porsche 911....it wasn't really that long ago.

I read it in (of all places) a local tire shop. Kind of an expensive magazine for a waiting room.

#27, right?

I was looking through old pictures of mine on here, and I can distinctly remember finding, and shooting those cars and getting excited that I was posting them up here and getting really pissed off at the internet at Augsburg for going so slow.
