Not a turbo; the rear flares aren't wide enough. This is a Carrera with a turbo-style whale tail.

As a fan of the whale tail, I don't care that this isn't a Turbo... I still really, really like it!

Many enthusiasts actually prefer the Carrera of this era, since they generally had 5 speeds (930s had 4 speeds every year except 1989) and sharper throttle response. Performance numbers were close, too: The 930 went 0-60 only about half a second quicker and had a top speed about 8 mph faster.
