It looks solid, but you can tell it's been there for a while....case and point...it has Torque-Thrust mags and Polyglass tires. |

Those look like torque thrusts....these cars came with either steelies or Rally wheels or Magnum 500s. |

Color coordinated steel wheels with dog dish hubcaps were standard. I've only seen maybe 2 of these that had them, though. |

I'm not sure, but for an engine that's been sitting for a long time and lost pressure in it's fuel lines, you need to give it a shot of starting fluid to get it running long enough to pressurize and pump it's own fuel up into the carb |

The stock aircleaner was either orange with black Mopar lettering, or plain chrome, if memory serves. |

Magnums were red. And the commando's I can't remeber the color, but for some reason I was thinking it was orange. |

Wingnut, I only wish I knew where it was. This is a famous car from Cars in Barns, and nobody seems to know where it is. All that's known about it is that it's a real '71 Hemi Roadrunner, and it was originally posted on scatpack.com, for whatever reason (it's not there now, I've looked and looked). In all possibility though, the car may have been saved already.
Anyone know of the "Newfy Cuda" from Cars in Barns? A green 440 6 brl '71 'Cuda that was propped up over the ground in Newfoundland, Canada? It's on one of the real early pages in the Mopars section. Anyway, rumor has it that that car in now in Ontario receiving a full restoration. So there's always a possibility with these things.... |
