It's come a bit of a way since here, http://riceornot.ricecop.com/?auto=67675

-New Clutch
-New Motor Mounts
-New Rear Main Seal
-New LF Wheel Bearings
-New Oil Pan Gasket
-New Crank Bearings

Drives real nice too, I almost didn't want to bring it back home tonight after the first real test drive. But it's good I did, I have one final thing to fix mechanicaly, the power steering rack has a leak.

I've been considering a 944 for my next car. Are parts terribly expensive?

#2, In a word, yes. But, if you don't have to pay anyone labor to install them it's not so bad.

For example, that aforementioned steering rack looks like it'll have to be replaced, it's a $990 part, the Clutch/Pressure Plate combo is $1,000, motor mounts are like $90 each, basicaly, take whatever it would cost to get the part in question for a Camaro or a Taurus, and then double it.
