I'm more into vintage home stuff to be truthful. I love a good mobile system but don't know much about it. |

Well let's see.
In the Newbaru I've got some woofers and some tweeters and a Pioneer head unit stuffed full of Camp Lo, Mobb Deep, Erykah Badu, DJ Shadow, Queens of the Stoneage and Mulatu Astatke.
The stock s[eaker system (assuming) sounds real nice, 7 speakers with high-mounted tweeters. I might put in a 10" with a nice big amp and capacitor. |

In the Frog I have a shit head unit (if you can all it that) plus two door mounted quarter-decent speker/tweeter (I think) combos. That + a new digital Walkman + a mp3-to-cassete thingy = I can actually feel pleasure when listening to music, despite gearbox whine which makes me bump the volume a bit.
The car came with a really old Blaupunkt stereo (dealer installed? that would make it a 1986 piece) but sadly it's incomplete.

I have a Kenwood KDC-1032 head unit in my truck, bought it at a local car audio shop (I bought the truck with a crazy flip-out Pioneer unit with cascading LEDs and other fancy shit, but only the CD player worked in it, the radio didn't).
The speakers are Sony Xplod, in the truck when I got it. They work well enough, I suppose.
The Granada has a hack-n-slash Blue Light Special Cassette deck with an analog tuner and REALLY shitty reception. I haven't tried the cassette deck. Don't know what kind of speakers it has (probably OEM). |

#6, yeah, no cap doesnt effect the sound at all. In most cases the cap does very little, if anything it just more drain on the amp. Meanwhile for a similar price an extra battery could do you so much better |
