I read about this car in the November 2008 issue of Rod & Custom. It's actually a pretty incredible piece of work, and a lot more radical a custom than the styling lets on. It's also the owner's daily driver.
It has Air Ride suspension, Wilwood disc brakes all around, a basically stock LS1 crate engine with a 4L65E trans and 3.25:1 Ford 9 inch rear. The body is more or less stock, but the interior floor and trunk floor have been raised. The entire interior looks stock, but the stock seats were modified with arm rests out of a 2005 Cadillac, the dash has had factory-looking A/C vents added for the Vintage Air A/C system, and the stock steering wheel had a '55 Chevy center hub welded in to work with the Ididit aftermarket steering column.
