Sadly, this model year was essentially the turning point that would eventually kill Hudson... they had invested most of their R&D budget on the Jet, thinking that Americans would be interested in a smaller, fuel efficient vehicle... but they were simply 5 years too early (when the Studebaker Lark would come out to a more receptive public)... with little R&D money left, they couldn't overhaul their other lineups, and simply did quick-fixit updates, like full windshields, and slightly revised bodywork and suspension... sales didn't materialize, they succumbed to be purchased by Nash, and the rest is, unfortunately, history :(
